Companion Animal End-of-Life Support
Tender guidance. Thoughtful presence. Unconditional care.
At Wondermutt Wellness, I believe our animal companions are family, sometimes our closest companions and truest mirrors. The bond we share with them is profound, intuitive, and deeply felt. When it’s time to say goodbye, the heartbreak and uncertainty can feel overwhelming. You’re not alone.

As a Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula, I offer emotional, spiritual, and practical support before, during, and after the death of your beloved pet. These moments—though incredibly difficult—can also be tender, meaningful, and full of love. As someone who has walked this path with many cherished animals of my own, I know how heavy this can feel. I also know how healing it can be to have someone walk beside you.
Together, we can:

-
Create a personalized plan to support comfort and ease for both you and your pet
-
Open space for gentle, judgment-free conversations about death and dying
-
Clarify what to expect physically and emotionally, including understanding euthanasia
-
Explore care options to support your values, beliefs, and goals for your animal's final days
-
Honor and celebrate your pet’s life and your unique relationship
-
Provide a calm, grounding presence during euthanasia, at home or at a clinic (as desired)
-
Support natural after-death care in the home
-
Help you decide how you'd like to remember and honor your pet in the days and weeks that follow
-
Companion you and your family in grief, holding space for your feelings and stories
-
Offer emotional and spiritual support rooted in unconditional positive regard
-
Guide you through rituals, memorials, or other meaningful practices that feel authentic to you
-
Empower you to make informed decisions and navigate this journey in a way that feels right
This is not medical care—but it is heart-centered care. I'm here to witness, companion, and support you and your beloved pet with tenderness, presence, and respect every step of the way.

If you're anticipating loss or in the midst of it, please know: you don’t have to do this alone.

Sliding Scale
Rooted in care. Informed by equity. Guided by trust.
At Wondermutt Wellness, I offer a sliding scale because I believe everyone deserves compassionate support—regardless of income or financial standing. End-of-life support and healing care should be accessible, not reserved for the few. This practice is part of how I work toward economic justice in a system that too often leaves people behind.
This sliding scale is inspired by the model created by Alexis J. Cunningfolk and shaped by my own values: honesty, mutual respect, and trust. I don’t ask for income verification—because I believe in honoring your story, your integrity, and the many complexities that shape your financial reality.

This is community care in action. It's about offering grace and accountability in equal measure. It's about creating space where everyone—no matter where they come from—can access meaningful support during some of the hardest moments of life.

A note on worth:
Doulas deserve to be paid fairly for their emotional labor, presence, and skill. Clients deserve options that reflect real-world diversity in income, security, and privilege. This scale helps hold both truths.

How to Use the Sliding Scale
The following is not a test—it’s an invitation to reflect. Choose the rate that aligns with your circumstances as honestly as you can. Your choice allows me to continue this work in sustainable, inclusive ways.

Top Tier / Sustainer Rate
You pay the full fee. This supports your care and helps subsidize services for others.
You might choose this tier if you:
-
Have stable income and savings
-
Own property or have investments
-
Take vacations or spend money on wants regularly
-
Have access to family wealth or generational support
Middle Tier / Fair Rate
You pay a reduced rate that reflects your current resources.
You might choose this tier if you:
-
Have steady income but still need to budget carefully
-
Can meet your needs but don’t have much disposable income
-
Have limited or no generational financial support
-
Carry student or medical debt that affects your financial flexibility
Lower Tier / Supported Rate
You pay a deeply reduced rate, supported by those who can pay more.
You might choose this tier if you:
-
Struggle to meet basic needs (housing, food, healthcare)
-
Are navigating underemployment, disability, or caregiving responsibilities
-
Have little or no safety net or savings
-
Are part of a historically marginalized or economically disadvantaged community
I trust you to choose the rate that feels right. This isn’t about guilt—it's about reciprocity. If you're unsure where you fall, we can talk it through together. My goal is to make this sacred work available in a way that honors both you and the sustainability of my practice.
Let’s walk this path with care—for ourselves and for each other.
